The sub-collection of arts and crafts has been developed gradually since the constitution of the Municipal Museum in Kroměříž in 1933, from random acquisitions and gifts of individuals or official institutions in the region. A set acquired after 1945 forms a more coherent part of the collection. The sub-collection contains historical furniture dating back from the middle of the 16th century to the end of the 20th century and represents the ornamental techniques characteristic for the respective periods. There are various types of chairs, chests, tables and desks, including lavishly decorated baroque intarsia cabinets.
