Fine art collection

The art collection of the Kroměříž District Museum comprises paintings, graphic art, drawings and sculptures. Some of the most valuable collection items include the works of the famous Kroměříž native Max Švabinský and late-gothic polychrome sculptures. The most-represented period is the turn of the 19th and 20th century, with works of local artists as well as Moravian and European authors. The most frequented type of artworks in the collection is portraits, landscape and urban scenes, and also religious artworks.
