The botanical collection includes mainly vascular plant items, plus a small number of seed and fruit samples. The largest and most significant part of the collection is a dendrological herbarium comprising 56 dendrological books (so-called xyloteque), probably from the end of the 18th century, of unknown origin. It includes also wood samples and a colour-printed herbarium. Eight volumes of Jan Gažda’s herbariums and items collected by the museum workers from around Moravia form a large part of the botanical collection.
