Fruit has been an indispensable part of the human diet since prehistory. The seasonal use of fruit, depending on the short time of its ripeness, was the main limiting factor until the ascent of the canning industry. Until the 20th century, drying was the most effective method of long-term fruit preservation. The exhibition presents some unique historical objects and interesting information accompanied by playful interactive elements, such as a scale model of a traditional fruit-drying shed, a result of a long-term systematic research of historical fruit-drying sheds developed authors from the Wallachian Regional Museum.
