The project presents the fascinating history of the Moravian Warmblood horse, a breed closely connected with our region. Its origins come from the early 19th century when the first studs were established in the Austrian Empire. After the constitution of Czechoslovakia, the breeding continued and the horses were in great demand both for the military, agriculture, and for equestrian sports. The exhibition follows the evolution of the breed and its current situation. The Moravian Warmblood is a horse of excellent character, appropriate temperament, always keen to work, great under saddle and in harness, sturdy and healthy, and easy to feed. The predominant colour of the Moravian Warmblood is bay, but there are also chestnuts, whites, and blacks. The visitors will see various methods of saddling and harnessing, as well as a typical carriage. An audiovisual programme will explain even more on the history of these amazing horses and their owners.
