11 October 2024 – 16 March 2025, Small gallery
The exhibition presents Hradisko (local district of Kroměříž), one of the most significant archaeological localities not just in the Czech Republic, but also within the whole of Central Europe. The display panels explain and show all the phases of its prehistoric use and inhabitation. In Bronze Age, a fortified lowland settlement was established there, which had become a political, spiritual, and trading centre of Central Moravia. These facts are evidenced by three bronze depots discovered around the site. The last of them is one of the biggest mass depots found in Moravia. It contained over 850 objects with a total weight of 40 kg! For the first time, the public will have a unique opportunity to see all the three depots together.
