The renaissance stronghold manor has been preserved complete with its baroque farmyrd, newly reconstructed into a remarkable and authentic architectural complex. There are all the essential visitor facilities including car park and cash desk. A permanent exhibition is installed in the interiors: “From sourdough to grain” about the art and labour of bread-making. The buildings contain extensive depositories of the museum, a conservator’s workshop, and expert workplaces of the museum’s ethnographical and archaeological departments.
All the guided tours and visitor circuits start at the farmyard.
The farmyard was open to the public after a reconstruction on 14 May 2022.
