The renaissance stronghold is the oldest preserved building in the village. Among its famous owners was also Albrecht von Wallenstein, a prominent military commander from the times of the Thirty Years’ War. The stronghold, more precisely a manor from the second half of the 14th century, underwent many building modifications throughout its rich history. In 1841 a sugar processing manufacture was established there, but it closed down in 1858 as it could not keep up with the modern establishments. Since 2006 the manor has been open to the public as a museum facility, presenting local rural history in an exhibition titled “Down the furrow of time”, which presents the social and economic living conditions of the rural people in the Haná region. There is also an exhibition on the history of the village with numerous archaeological finds from nearby localities.
