Article 1 – Accessibility of the premises
The premises of the Open-air museum Rymice means all the buildings, roads, footpaths, gardens and other parts of the complex. By entering the premises the visitor undertakes to respect these Visitor Rules and observe the instructions of the authorised personnel of the museum.
The complex of the Open-air museum Rymice consists of three parts, each with different accessibility:
a) parts of the complex freely accessible to the visitors during the opening hours,
b) parts of the complex accessible only upon payment of admission fee, i.e. the so-called tours,
c) parts of the complex not accessible to the public.
Article 2 – Visiting season
1. The visiting season is from 1 May to 30 September.
2. The museum objects are accessible from May to September, daily except Mondays, from 9 AM to 5 PM.
3. The publicly accessible parts of the complex – Hejnice (Houses No 62, No 64, the windmill), the village common (Houses No 6, No 14, No 116), the stronghold (exhibitions on the ground floor), and the farmyard (cash desk and exhibitions).
4. The times of the individual tours and up-to-date information about the tours are provided at the cash desk at the farmyard and on the museum website www.muzeum-km.cz.
5. The museum management may modify the opening hours due to operational or technical reasons; modification of the opening hours will be announced in advance on the museum website www.muzeum-km.cz. In exceptional cases, a tour is also possible outside the opening hours, but that is subject to availability of the staff and prior e-mail booking at rymice@muzeum-km.cz.
Article 3 – Organisation of visitor operations
1. Visitors can choose from two tours; each takes approximately 70 minutes.
2. All the tours are guided. The minimum number of a group for a guided tour is 2 people including non-paying children up to 6 years of age. The maximum number of people in a group depends on the physical capacity of the structure and safety considerations.
3. Tours can be booked in advance, both for groups and individuals. An accurate date and time of the start of the guided tour must be arranged in advance – in writing, by telephone, or via e-mail.
Article 4 – Admission fees
1. The entry to the paid parts of the complex is subject to an admission fee paid in advance. The entrance fees and any discounts are determined by a valid pricelist available at the cash desk and on the museum website.
2. After the payment of the admission fee the visitor receives a ticket (group leaders receive a group ticket) that will be checked upon the start of the guided tour. All visitors shall keep a valid ticket until leaving the premises to be able to show it to the guide or other authorised officer upon request.
3. A ticket is valid for one entry to the respective accessible objects only. A purchased ticket cannot be returned or changed.
Article 5 – Visits to the open-air museum
1. When visiting the exteriors and the interiors of the open-air museum, the visitors are kindly requested to mind the uneven surfaces or other hazards that correspond to the nature of the historical structures in the open-air museum.
2. Children under the age of 15 are only allowed to enter the accessible objects of the open-air museum if accompanied by adults who take responsibility for their behaviour and making sure it complies with the requirements of the Visitor Rules.
3. During a guided tour, visitors shall not wander away from the group and must strictly follow the instructions and orders of the guide. It is forbidden to enter outside the designated areas.
4. Interpretation of the guide is allowed only after prior agreement and only in case it is not possible to provide a foreign language interpretation by a museum guide or by means of an explanatory text in a foreign language. During interpreting, it is always essential to respect the standards of decorum and decency towards the other visitors.
Article 6 – Protection and security of the national cultural monument, security of the collections and visitor safety
1. The visitors are obliged to follow the instructions of the museum staff issued in the interest of their safety and protection of the collections. In the event of disobeying these instructions, a visitor may be expelled from the museum premises without reimbursement of the admission fee. Expelled visitors must leave the premises immediately. For group trips, the leader of the group (teacher, supervisor) is responsible.
2. During the visit, visitors shall behave in such a way that their actions do not endanger the safety of themselves, other visitors and museum staff and their property, as well as the museum equipment and the collections displayed or exhibited. Furthermore, the visitor’s behaviour shall not restrict or inconvenience other visitors.
3. Access to the premises is strictly forbidden to individuals reasonably suspected of being drunk or taking drugs.
4. Access to the accessible interiors is forbidden to visitors in heavily soiled, insufficient or otherwise inappropriate clothing or shoes.
5. Visitors may not enter the installed interiors with bulky luggage. Visitors are kindly requested to leave their luggage at the cash desk or in the designated area (lockable boxes).
6. Smoking and handling of open flame and flammable substances is strictly forbidden within the entire premises.
7. If any loss or damage to any collection objects is discovered, all visitors present in the museum spaces at the time are obliged to submit to all necessary security measures, wait until the arrival of the police officers and obey all their instructions and orders (including any personal inspections performed by the officers of the Police of the Czech Republic).
8. It is forbidden to damage and endanger the exhibited collection objects or other property within the premises of the museum. In particular it is strictly forbidden to:
a) bring weapons of any kind into the premises,
b) touch any of the exhibited objects and walls, write, scratch or draw onto the walls outside and inside the buildings or otherwise damage them,
c) disturb the guide with noise (e.g. music, singing, using mobile phones, loud noises or other activities),
d) eat or drink in the interiors, enter the interiors with ice cream, beverages, etc.,
e) damage any plants, throw anything into the well, camp near the museum objects, dispose of waste outside litter bins, put up posters or otherwise disturb peace and order,
f) drive in and park motor vehicles outside the designated car park within the museum premises; it is forbidden to lean bicycles against the façades of the buildings – there are designated bicycle stands.
9. Animals may enter the open-air museum complex under the following conditions:
a) they must be accompanied by an adult,
b) they must wear a safe muzzle and must be held on a short leash,
c) sick, dirty, or aggressive animals will not be let in,
d) the person responsible for the pet animal is responsible for cleaning up and removing any excrements,
e) it is forbidden to enter the interiors of the museum objects with animals, with the exception of guide dogs for the blind
10. Taking photographs in the exhibitions and generally in the visitor areas is permitted for personal purposes only, strictly without the use of external flash and tripod. Filming and sound recording is only possible upon permission of the director of the Kroměříž District Museum. Any commercial, study or scientific use of photographs and videos taken within the premises of the museum is not permitted without a previous consent of the museum’s director.
Article 7 – Final provisions
1. In case of any complex professional questions from the visitors, which the museum guide cannot responsibly answer, and upon arrangement with the questioning visitor, the question will be written down along with a contact of the questioning visitor and left at the cash desk to be answered by a relevant museum professional or museum management worker, in writing or via telephone. The museum management does not disclose any information about the value of the exhibited objects or any facts pertaining to the security of the building.
2. Visitors can enter any wishes, comments, suggestions or complaints in the visitor book, which is available upon request from the cash desk.
3. In the event of any serious health threat to a visitor during a visit to the museum, a museum worker on duty will provide first aid or call medical emergency services and keep the visitor comfortable until the arrival of the physician or paramedics.
4. The museum shall not be liable for any injuries and damages resulting from any violation of the Visitor Rules. The compensation for damage caused to the collection objects or property of the museum will be claimed from the individual who caused the damage.
5. Any damage to the property of the museum, property and health of the museum visitors shall be immediately reported to the guides or other museum worker who will make a record of the damage or injury.
6. For the security of the premises, the visitors and the collection objects, selected exterior and interior spaces are monitored by CCTV with recording.
